I'm Kristy Yoder, Founder and CEO of Smart VAs, Master Delegator Podcast Host, and the mastermind of Smart VAs Academy. Originally hailing from the vibrant Philippines, I now reside in Ohio's wild and wacky world, where I'm accompanied by my awesome hubby and our fur baby extraordinaire, Maestro.
I have an unquenchable passion for teaching businesses the art of virtual assistant delegation. But that's not all—I'm on a mission to empower passionate individuals, especially the underserved ones, to become virtual assistants and unlock a world of stable income for their families. Now, let me tell you a little bit about why I do what I do
Back in 2017, I dipped my toes into the world of freelancing as a virtual assistant while juggling a full-time job because I was so sick and tired of the daily commute to work. Talk about multitasking like a boss! Then, in 2018, love-struck, my hubby-to-be and I decided to tie the knot and start our journey together in the USA.
That's when I made a bold move and bid farewell to my full-time job, diving headfirst into the freelance world. Why? Because I had a crystal-clear vision for myself and my future fam—I wanted to be present, fully present. No busy working mom life where I couldn't shower love and care on my amazing husband and future kiddos.
And voilà! That desire birthed Smart VAs, my brainchild turned virtual assistant powerhouse. In 2019, I expanded my team and brought on board some awesome VAs to help me scale up. From a one-woman show, we've grown into an unstoppable force of 70+ fabulous team members. It's been a wild ride, my friends!
Nowadays, I'm living the dream—the dream of freedom and flexibility, all thanks to my unwavering vision and a truckload of hard work. But let's be real, starting a virtual assistant business wasn't a walk in the park. Nope, it was more like navigating a jungle filled with challenging obstacles. But hey, life throws hardships our way no matter what we choose, right?
